Founded in 1967 to serve the Dayton family’s investment and financial services needs, Okabena Company has established itself as one of the nation’s most respected and innovative family offices. Okabena Company has also stewarded the Dayton family’s philanthropic activities for more than 50 years and in the process has gained a deep understanding of philanthropic organizations, their needs, and their cultures.
In 1994, Okabena formed a wholly-owned subsidiary, Okabena Investment Services, Inc., to hold the investment operations of the enterprise. Okabena Investment Services, Inc. became an SEC Registered Investment Adviser at that time.
